CLAUDIA SCHRÖDER | CINEMATOGRAPHER

Claudia Schröder, born 1987 in East Berlin, graduated from the German Film - and Television Academy (dffb) and held a scholarship at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles (CalArts). During her studies, she worked as a freelance gaffer. She is experienced in both, analog and digital formats, and loves to manage any type of shooting environments - be it a big crew set or a one person run and gun documentary style project.
She worked in Poland, Hungary, Iceland, Switzerland, Italy and the USA. Her films have been shown at numerous national and international festivals. Her graduation film „On mothers and daughters“ celebrated its world premiere at the 73rd Berlinale. In 2023 she was 2nd Unit DOP for the Paramount+ series „A Thin Line“ .
Her latest project „Black Fruit“ series premiered at Tribeca Festival New York in 2024 and has been nominated for the Grimme Preis 2025 and won the German Series Price 2025 at Televisionale Weimar.
She works in fiction, advertising as well as in documentaries and art films. She is always curious to find the best translation into a unique cinematic world for each project.
